Jennifer Garner is always glowing. Whether making heads turn on the red carpet or performing impressive box jumps with her trainer, the star’s complexion never fades. As for what’s behind her incredible skin, well, that’s no secret. The 50-year-old shares her favorite products regularly—but it’s been a minute since she dished on the skincare front. And lucky for us, she told Prevention her most recent must-have product: Neutrogena’s Rapid Wrinkle Repair Retinol Pro+ Anti-Wrinkle Eye Cream.
“For real, I’ve been using it,” the Neutrogena ambassador says before delving into the benefits of retinol—of which there are many. One of the best things? Promoting cell turnover for renewed plumpness. “What I love is when you’re promoting cell turnover what it does is it decreases lines and increases brightness and it increases fluidity in the skin and a flexibility in the skin which just means that it’s more plump looking, more alive looking, younger,” she says. “When you fill out the area around the eyes, you don’t even recognize that it’s something you’re missing as you get older, but it makes you look just a little bit more bright-eyed and younger,” she says. “So this is actually really helpful in that.”
We can see why The Last Thing He Told Me star loves the product. With powerful retinol and glycerin, which hydrates skin, its ingredient list is one for the books. But she wasn’t always so sure about using such a potent product on such a notoriously sensitive area of skin.

“I was nervous to use retinol around my eyes. It just didn’t make sense because they always say use everywhere but your eye area,” she explains her prior hesitancy towards using the powerhouse ingredient around such sensitive skin. But, when Neutrogena sent her the
Rapid Wrinkle Repair Retinol Pro+ Anti-Wrinkle Eye Cream a few weeks ago, that changed. “They did all of this work on it and it is safe. Especially, you know I’m starting to get some lines and things and so it just helps with those and it helps keep more moisture and more brightness.”
